Alex Foley

I have spent much of the past year organising a platform for showcasing queer artists, which had its inaugural exhibition this January and was partially funded by Lincoln College's Vivian Green Student Assistance Fund.

LGBTQ Rep

I am a second year DPhil candidate in Molecular Cell Biology in Health and Disease at the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology. I have a BSc in Neuroscience and an MSc in Genetic Manipulation and Molecular Cell Biology from the University of Sussex. My current research focuses on the optimisation of a novel technique for measuring the viscosity of discrete regions of the cell in vitro. I also serve on the Lincoln College MCR Committee as the LGBTQ Rep, which functions as an auxiliary welfare role and point of entry for LGBTQ concerns.

In my spare time, I enjoy painting and taking in the visual arts. I have spent much of the past year organising a platform for showcasing queer artists, which had its inaugural exhibition this January and was partially funded by Lincoln College's Vivian Green Student Assistance Fund.  I am also very politically active, with a passion for anti-racist and anti-fascist activism in particular.
